Comments on progress of TURN 6 - 5 July 16.00
CAMPAIGN STATUS
The attacks in the south have very good momentum. Northern attacks are being bogged down by Russian assaults. All enemy offensive action is to the west of our attack points. As long as we hold the line, we can envelope many of them. Our casualties are moderate. Russian casulaties very high both in terms of men and equipment. The Luftwaffe is doing a better job in supporting the ground operations.
High command is interested to see how the 2 different attack spear heads play out. In the north, there are 2 thrusts with divisions following each other in to battle. In the south, all attacking divisions are abreast of each other and attacking simultaneously.
High command is very concerned that no reserve of any form is available. 12th Panzer and 10th Panzergrenadier were removed from attacking arm to act as reserve on the northern shoulder. They are both already in contact with the enemy.
DIVISIONAL ACTION REPORTS
Units starting at the upper portion of the line and proceeding all the way around the line to the bottom in a counter clock wise manner.
--- 262 Infanterie ---
Orders - Hold the line along the Neruch river between Zadushnoya and Krasnovidovo.
Situation - Engaging various units from the Russian 63rd Army. Concentrating forces at 3 river crossings along the line. Some units have been withdrawn to recover losses and ammo.
Status - The enemy will not cross the Neruch on this line!

Orders - Advance around Vasilyevka to gain a true north-south defensive line between Novyaya Zhizn and Verknyaya.
Situation - Assaults in the center making good progress against the Russian 73rd Rifle division.
Status - Operations ongoing. Morale very good, men confident.
--- 383 Infanterie ---
Orders - Hold the line between Verknyaya and Nikolskoye.
Situation - Russian tank regiment from 48th Army attacking strong on northern edge of our line. 2 panzer companies from the XXIII Korps are supporting defensive actions south of Verknyaya. Rest of the line active but holding up well.
Status - Line holding still, risk of enemy armor break thru on northern wing.

Orders - Advance across the entire line to gain a defensive position between Nikolskoye and Maloarkhangelsk.
Situation - City on right (southern) wing named Mayskaya Zorka taken! We are up against elements of the 8th and 148th Rifle divisions. No Russian armor has been encountered.
Supportive artillery from Korps guns made life easy.
Status - Operations under way, objective may be gained earlier than time table demands.

Orders - Advance with entire division towards Semenovka, staying in contact with the 216th on the left and the 86th on the right.
Situation - Holy fucking shit! Russians attacking with a Tank and Rifle Corps at our center and right wing. Enemy attacking hard at Soglasnyy and Malork Station. Advancing out of the question at this moment. We need all attention to holding this position.
Status - Many units disrupted. Taking heavy casualties.
--- 86 Infanterie ---
Orders - Advance hard towards Ponyri to support panzer attacks to the right.
Situation - Russians assaulting our left wing viciously. There are many of them!
Status - Counter attacking to assist 78th Sturm. Shitokoye Boloto taken.
--- 10 Panzergenadier ---
Orders - Proceed to Khitrova in support of 78th Sturm and 86th Infanterie. Rejoin assault by following 9th Panzer as soon as risk of Russian break thru has passed.
Situation - In transit to blocking positions at Khitrova.
Status - Full strength and prepared for assignment

Orders - Move around the Oka river to support planned attack of panzer divisions. General direction - Alexandrovka.
Situation - No enemy contact as we move around the river. Thunderous artillery action to our left.
Status - Alexandrovka visible in the distance.
--- 18 Panzer ---
Orders - Attack at the seam of the 86th and 292nd Infanterie divisions towards Ponyri. Afterwards continue in south east direction.
Situation - Tigers supported by Panzergenediers in the lead. Encountering large numbers of tanks from Russian 3rd Tank Corps.
Status - Initial progress good. Unexpected attack by the Russians in this sector will hinder time table.

Orders - Follow 18th Panzer towards Ponyri and beyond.
Situation - On 18th Panzers tail. Sounds of large battle ahead. No enemy contact yet.
Status - Awaiting ability to engage. Patience no strong point of this divisions men.
--- 6 Infanterie ---
Orders - Cross Oka river between Verk Tagino and Ozecki.
Stuation - All enemy activity on southern shore has ceased. We are putting in bridges to cross river and suppport panzer attacks.
Status - Operation "Walk on Wasser" in progress
--- 31 Infanterie ---
Orders - Attack towards Gnillets, take city and take up defensive positions towards Probuzhdenie.
Situation - Our foes, the 132nd Russian Rifle division are weak ass bitches.
Status - In the ourskirts of Gnillets. The town will be taken!
--- 20 Panzer ---
Orders - Attack south east wards thur Aleksandrovka towards Ponyri and beyond!
Situation - Yasnaya Polyana has been taken. Will now follow the general course of the Oka to our north towards Aleksandrovka.
Status - Enemy infanterie are useless. Enemy artillery is deadly. Request air support.

Orders - Follow 20th Panzer towards Ponyri and beyond.
Situation - On 20th Panzers tail. Sounds of large battle ahead. No enemy contact yet.
Status - Awaiting ability to engage. Patience no strong point of this divisions men.

Situation - On 4th Panzers tail. Sounds of large battle ahead. No enemy contact yet.

Situation - Engaged with the entire 280th Rifle divison.
Status - Heavy fighting, all well !

Situation - Left wing quiet. Right wing under strong attack by 19th Tank Corps as well as the 240th Tank regiment. 12th Panzer units have arrived to re-inforce.
Status - Fighting hard at Shepelova, entire right flank involved

Orders - Move to postion in line between 258th and Manteuffel to counter enemy attacks there. Stop the Russians and stabilize the area.
Situation - Counter attacking the serious Russian armor thrust between Verk Grankino and Shepelevo

Situation - Right wing under control. Left wing under attack by 251st and 259th Tank regiments. 12th Panzer units have arrived to re-inforce.
Status - Heaviest assaults are to our right, we'll hold this position against current enemy

Situation - Have gained some ground between Opoykovo and Kucheryayevka.
Status - All under control.

Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - Many fire fights along the line and we are beating the shit out of the 149th Rifle division.
Status - All well in hand, ammo becoming an issue with some companies

Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - Opposing us are the 69th and 246 Rifle divisions of the 18th Rifle corps. Some minor fire fights along the line, but nothing serious.
Status - All under control.

Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - Opposite us are the 194th and 354th Rifle divisions. Our units are well entrenched and ready. Only recent contact with the enemy was at the village of Markin where we drove away an enemy company
Status - Nothing out of the ordinary to report, all as planned unitl now

Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - The Russian 193rd Rifle division is dug in across from us. They have set up HQ at the village of Dorovodye. Mutiple contacts with this unit. Ammo being used at a higher than expected rate.
Status - No danger of enemy break thru on this line.

Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - Our units occupying well prepared positions. No real enemy contact to report.
Stable - All quiet and stable.

Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - Strong point of our line is at the bunker complex near Kurenka. We are attacking the artillery north of Pody as it is an easy to obtain target. Our right wing is very over extended. Enemy is probing the entire line. Portions of the right wing are becoming critical. Status - Units may need to retreat to better defensive positions, ammo running low

Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - Left wing is extremely over extended. Units attacking south east of Rylsk to improve positions. Others digging in to hold. On the right, we are pushing to take advantage of weak oppostion at a bridge crossing over the Seym river.
Status - More action than expected this far west

Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - Fire fights on the left flank in the river Seym area. Enemy opposite us (240th and 180th Rifle divisions) are not pursuing any strong attacks.
Status - Line under control.
--- 75 Infanterie ---
Orders - Hold the line as it stands.
Situation - We have repelled an attack from the 167th Rifle division. We are holding out well. Enemy taking massive casualities.
Status - No danger of break thru.

Orders - Attack at the seam of the 75th and 68th Infanterie divisions, thur the village of Bolshaya Chernetchina and push towards Miropolye.
Situation - Attacks under way, Bolshaya has been taken
Status - Offensive action is much better than sitting in a trench

Situation - Units well dug in and awaiting enemy action or further orders.
Status - All queit and stable.

Situation - Units well prepared. No enemy contact at this time.

Orders - Hold the left wing while pushing steadily forward on the right to support the major panzer attacks taking place to the east.
Situation - Crisis at the center and left!! Engaged with tank units from the 40th Army on the left , the whole fucking 52nd Rifle Corps is hitting our center.
Status - We can not hold off this attack if the Russians want to push thru

Orders - Attack northward as strong as possible to support 3rd Panzer division attacking on the right. Attention needs to be paid to our left flank - Contact with the 255nd Infanterie division is to be retained. This sector will act as a supporting shoulder to the main thrusts of the XLVII Panzer corps going in to our right.
Situation - Attacks under way. Nearing the city of Voskhod, aligned with the 3rd Panzer. On our left, the 255th has a huge fight going on.
Status - On the move!

Orders - Attack north at full force to a point that allows envelopment of the 309th Russian Rifle division on your left. Destroy them and then establish stability on the southern shoulder!
Situation - Pushing forward north of Voskhod. We have crushed units from multiple Russian divisions.
Status - No major difficulties encountered. The men are up for a fight
--- Gross Deutschland Panzergenadier ---
Orders - You are the biggest and badest division on the field! Attack north at full speed to a point that allows an evelopment of the enemy on your right. Taking Kursk will follow in phase 2. Area north west of Oboyan is to be used as the initial objective. Destory the enemy at will. Let nothing escape to your left.
Situation - On the move northwards. We have taken Krasnyi Pochinek and the forward unit have reached Chapayev.
Status - All well, area still not good panzer country, too confined
--- 11 Panzer ---
Orders - Attack at full force north thru Cherkasskoye and take Berezovka. New orders to follow after objective has been gained.
Situation - Large tank formations holding Cherkasskoye. Luftwaffe gave good effort and destroyed a good number of enemy vehicles. Moving around the east flank to engage the town from 2 sides.
Status - Hard fighting, Russians taking heavy casualities
--- 167 Infanterie ---
Orders - Advance to take Nova Cherkasskoye and maintain contact with divisions on left and right. Destroy the enemy, drive broken units forward. Let nothing slip by.
Situation - Good progress along the entire line. Still in contact with 11th and LSSAH.
Status - Having a strong tank force on both flanks is a pleasure!

Orders - Attack at full force along the line Bykovka - Yakovlevo - Pokrovka. New orders to follow.
Situation - Pushing towards Bykovka. Zadelnoye has been taken.
